A Lost sheltie is found with help of Triangle Sheltie Rescue!
Tabitha was out for a walk with her new owner when she was spooked and pulled the leash free. Tabitha ran into the woods behind the apartment complex in Wake Forest. Volunteers from TSR helped search the area, distribute flyers, and notify vets and local agencies. After two days of searching, a call was received from someone who had seen Tabitha cross their yard the day before. This helped us refocus our search area. Sherri and Mike of TSR went out Monday night in the rain to scope out the area of the sighting. They found Tabitha caught at the bottom of a ditch near the opening of a culvert. Her leash had caught on some pipes and bushes. They freed her and called me. Taba came home to me for several weeks for observation and to let her settle. In the end, she seemed no worse for the adventure. She is now with her new owner and settling in nicely. Read more about TSR, Tabitha and other rescue stories.
